ViciBox v.13.1.0 Beta 5 Available for Testing

ViciBox v.13.1.0 Beta 5 is available for testing. ViciBox has moved to openSUSE Leap 16.1, so v.13.1.0 replaces v.13.0.0, which will not be released as a final version:

MD5 checksums are listed on the ViciBox Server page, and earlier betas are in the download archive. The current stable release is still ViciBox v.12.0.2.

What changed

  • openSUSE Leap 16.1 replaces Leap 16.0, with kernel 6.12.
  • MariaDB 12.3 replaces MariaDB 11.8.
  • PHP stays on 8.4. Leap 16.1 moves to PHP 8.5, so ViciBox keeps PHP 8.4 through its own repository. Beta 5 installs PHP 8.4.27, which has the fix for the php2shell vulnerabilities.
  • Package repositories now point at Leap 16.1, including the Asterisk, DAHDI and ViciBox packages.

Upgrading from an earlier beta

Servers installed from a v.13.0.0 beta can be upgraded in place. The steps are in Upgrading to ViciBox 13.1.0 in the manual. The upgrade converts the database files to MariaDB 12.3 and can only be undone by restoring a backup, so make a full database backup first.
